Litter awareness at Boyd Court
Our community action days are an opportunity for you to talk to us about the challenges you’re facing and receive support from us on, home maintenance, employment support and cost of living support.
On Thursday 9 May, we held a community action day at Boyd Court in Bracknell. Rubbish and littering have been a concern in the area for a while, so we carried out a litter pick on the day and were pleased to have many of the customers there joining us. We managed to remove six big bags of rubbish to make the area cleaner and tidier. We also attached stickers to the recycling bins to help distinguish what rubbish can be put in which bin, which will hopefully help customers with their recycling habits.
Rubbish wasn’t the only topic of conversation on the day. We also discussed upcoming community projects, from the Repair Café to CCTV installation at Boyd Court. We also got some great suggestions from customers on community cohesion and engagement which we can take forward.
It was a beautiful day and a successful event. A big thank you to everyone who came along.
If you’re interested, feel free to pop on by the next time we’re in your community. We also provide free food and drinks on our community action days. To find out more information on our community action days, click here.
